Mr. and Mrs. Michael Cowden Sr.

Mr. and Mrs. Michael Cowden Sr. of Terre Haute celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 15 at the Beef House with their immediate family.

Cowden and the former Martha (Ruthie) Hiatt were married on Sept. 24, 1963, at North Terre Haute Baptist Church. The Rev. Durr officiated. She is a homemaker. He worked at Wabash Fibre Box for 38 years until it closed down, and is now retired.

The couple have one daughter, Michelle McCollum and husband David; and one son, Michael Cowden Jr. and wife Megan. They also have four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. John Hanna

Mr. and Mrs. John Hanna will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Burnett firehouse.

Friends and relatives are invited. It is requested that gifts be omitted but cards are welcome and can be mailed to 6923 Jones Road, Terre Haute, IN 47805.

The couple was married on Oct. 28, 1948, in Vincennes. Mrs. Hanna is the former Betty Certain of West Terre Haute.

The couple have seven children, John and Rhonda Hanna of Olive Branch, Miss.; Paul Hanna and Sue, Larry Hanna and Barb, and Doug Hanna, all of Terre Haute; Jeff Hanna and Lisa of St. Cloud, Fla.; Elizabeth and Shawn Fernandy of Apopka, Fla.; and the late Bob Hanna. They also have 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Roy Kellar

Roy and Arletta Kellar of Brazil will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 25.

Over the years they have been blessed with their children, Molly Brown, Roy S. and Lisa Kellar, and Amanda and Joe Mills; as well as their grandchildren, Neil and Ryan Brown, Sara and Derek Mills, and Nathan Kellar.

They will spend time with their family.
