Joanne and Bill Glidden celebrated 60 years of marriage on Friday, June 21, 2013.

They have five children, Tony and Kelly; and Cathy, Kristi and Roy, who have taken over management of Glidden Furniture since Bill’s retirement in November.

Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Helderman

Ronald and Mary Imelda (Adame) Helderman of Marshall, Ind., will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on June 23, 2013.

The couple married on June 23, 1973, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Yuma, Ariz. He owns and operaters Marshall Feed and Grain. She is the practice manager of the oncology and hematology office at UAP Clinic in Terre Haute.

The couple have three children, Trina Helderman of Juba, South Sudan, Africa; Sarah Helderman of Indianapolis; and Nicholas (Crystle) Helderman of Greenwood.

Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Mason

Rodney and Judy Mason of Terre Haute celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 15, 2013, during a surprise party in Terre Haute for immediate family.

They were married in 1963 at Marshall, Ill., by the Rev. Clyde Campbell.

He is retired from the U.S. Army (Indiana Army National Guard) in 2004, after 37 years of service and is set to retire from Sunset Harbor in July.

She was a homemaker and mother to her children before entering the workforce. She retired from Sunset Harbor five years ago.

The couple have six children, Amy, Rodney Jr. (deceased), Twila, Eric, Michael and Jeffrey; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sampson

Robert and Nancy Eppert Sampson will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to Grand Haven, Mich., with their children and grandchildren.

The Sampsons were wed on June 30, 1963, at Carbon Methodist Church in Carbon by Dr. John McFarland. Bob is retired from Purdue University Cooperative Extension Service, and she is a retired nurse from the Indiana Blood Center.

The couple have two children, Amy Schorr of Mundelein, Ill., and Eric Sampson of Lawrenceburg; and six grandchildren.
