---- — Mr. and Mrs. Harold E. Norman Sr.

Harold E. Norman and Merle J. Hall were united in marriage Sept. 7, 1962, in Judson Baptist Church at Judson, Ind., by the Rev. Harry Morgan. They will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 8, 2012, with renewal of their vows at 2 p.m. and a reception until 4 in Marshall Federated Church at Marshall, Ind.

Harold retired in 1987 after 30 years at Alcan Aluminum. He also is a Korean War veteran. Merle retired after 18 years at Hillcraft Jewelry and 22 years at Rockville Nursing and Rehab as office manager.

They were very blessed with six children: four daughters, Kathy Baxter (Dave), Sandra Lair (John), Carolyn Kilby (John) and Donna Norman (Jeff); and two sons, Steven Norman (Sally) and the late Harold E. Norman. They also have 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Riggs

Richard and Deanna Riggs of Hymera will observe their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 9, 2012.

The couple were married in Shiloh Assembly of God Church.

Mrs. Riggs, the former Deanna King, is a retired Hymera school cook.

Mr. Riggs is a Hymera barber and Northeast School Corp. bus driver.

They have two daughters, Cindy (and Estel) Shidler and Carla Riggs.

They also have two grandchildren, Matthew (and Jennifer) Shidler and Jonie Shidler.

Mr. and Mrs. David Erickson

David and Ruth (Brauer) Erickson of West Terre Haute celebrated their 50th anniversary during a family dinner in Superior, Wis.

They were married on Aug. 11, 1962, in Superior by David’s maternal grandfather. They renewed vows in St. Leonard’s Church at West Terre Haute with Judy and Mark Stoffel as witnesses.

Mrs. Erickson is retired from the Lee Company in Terre Haute. Erickson is a retired art professor from Indiana State University.

They have two children Dea (and Scott) Maroz of Virginia, and Rijon (and Debbie Broad) Erickson of Cincinnati. They also have one 16-year-old granddaughter, Sarah.

Dick Hay in Brazil, Ind., hosted a local celebration with several friends.
