Mr. and Mrs. Ron Harris

Mr. and Mrs. Ron Harris of Terre Haute will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary June 4, 2011, during a dinner given by their daughters.

The couple were married June 4, 1961, in the Jefferson Baptist Church at Coal City.

Mrs. Harris, the former Janice Klass, is retired from the Vigo County Farm Service Agency. Harris, a barber in Terre Haute for 51 years, owns Ron’s Style Shack.

The couple have two children, Kelly Bovenschen and husband Bob of Terre Haute and Becky Harris of Dayton, Ohio. They also have two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Don Meneely

Mr. and Mrs. Don Meneely will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. June 12, 2011, in Terre Haute First Baptist Church. 

Friends and relatives are invited. Cards are welcome and may be sent to 407 S. 34th St., Terre Haute, IN 47803. 

The couple were married June 16, 1951, in Burnett Church by the Rev. Ben Reed. 

Mrs. Meneely is the former Patricia Streacker. Meneely retired from Pfizer Inc. in 1988.

The couple’s children are Don Meneely II and wife Machel of Tampa, Fla., Nick Meneely and wife Cindy of Terre Haute, and Susan Tewell and husband Ed of Indianapolis. They have nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Wood

Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Wood of Terre Haute will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. June 12, 2011, in the German Oberlandler Club.

Friends and relatives are invited.

The Woods were married June 18, 1961, in Maple Avenue Methodist Church by the Rev. Blake.

Mrs. Wood, the former Barbara Lybarger, is a retired Loogootee school teacher. Wood is retired after serving as director of Twin Rivers Vocational Area.

The couple have three children, Brenda Allen and husband Rick of Ferdinand, Melinda Middleton and husband Brad of Terre Haute, and Kevin Wood and wife Michelle of Loogootee. They also have six grandchildren.
