Mr. and Mrs. Gerry Hoffa

Mr. and Mrs. Gerry Hoffa will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2014.

Their family will host an open house at the Center Point Fish Fry, on Main Street in Center Point. Cake will be served under the large tent.

It is requested that gifts be omitted but cards are welcome.

Gerry and Julia were married Sept. 6, 1964, at St. John’s United Church of Christ, Center Point. Julia is a retired special education teacher in the Clay Community Schools Corp. Gerry has been a teacher, miner, farmer and carpenter.

The couple have three children, Tami (Tony) Hermesch of Bargersville, Mike (Cindy) Hoffa of Brownsburg and Andy (Brooke) Hoffa of Bloomington. They also have seven grandchildren, Abby and Will Hermesch; Sam, Michaela and Olivia Hoffa; and Claire and Lucas Hoffa.

Mr. and Mrs. Bill Kassis

Mr. and Mrs. Bill Kassis of Terre Haute will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with family on June 28, 2014.

Kassis and the former Sandy Malooley were married on June 28, 1964, at St. George Orthodox Church in Terre Haute. Both are retired from the Vigo County School Corp.

The couple have three children, Kim Curley (husband Tim), Alan Kassis (wife Julie) and Billy Kassis, all of Terre Haute. They also have four grandchildren, Brandon Curley, Lauren Curley, Zach Watkins and Abraham Kassis.

Mr. and Mrs. Randy Kneeland

Mr. and Mrs. Randy Kneeland of Rosedale observed their 25th wedding anniversary on June 17, 2014. They will celebrate   from 2 to 6 p.m. today at a gathering in Parke-Vermillion Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 167, north of Montezuma on Jefferson Street.

Friends and relatives are invited.

Kneeland and the former Lisa Atkinson were married on June 17, 1989, at the gazebo in Billie Creek Village. He is retired from the Parke County Sheriff’s Department. She has been a teacher at Rosedale Elementary School.

The couple have four children, Katie, Marty, Aaron and Andrew; two foster children, Shannon Hutson and Brandon Poole; and five grandchildren, Garrett, Jason, Olivia, Austin and Haylee.
