Mr. and Mrs. John A. Detzel of Terre Haute will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Wednesday, April 23, 2008, with a private dinner in the home of their son and daughter-in-law.
The Detzels were married April 23, 1948, in the First United Methodist Church in Brazil by the Rev. Wilson Singer.
Mrs. Detzel, the former Charlotte Stoner, is retired from Timberland Home Center in Brazil.
Detzel is retired from the former Public Service Co. of Indiana.
The couple have one son, Jay Detzel and wife Janet of Terre Haute. They also have three grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Terry Mills
Mr. and Mrs. Terry Mills of Terre Haute are observing their 50th wedding anniversary today. A family gathering at Foley Beach in Charleston, S.C., will be hosted by their sons at a later date.

The couple were married April 13, 1958, in the Marshall Methodist Church. Mrs. Mills, the former Rose Marie Murphy, retired in 1995 from Union Hospital. Mills retired in 1990 from the Indiana Air National Guard.
The couple have two sons, Scott Mills and wife Lynn of Oviedo, Fla., and Steve Mills and wife Amy of Irma, S.C. They also have five grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Steve Ridge
Mr. and Mrs. Steve Ridge of Terre Haute celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary Friday, April 30, 2008. A trip is planned this summer.
The couple were married April 11, 1978, in the First Church of the Nazarene by the Rev. Larry E. Mathias.
The couple have seven children and 18 grandchildren.
